The 20-year data from two European centres for decellularized pulmonary homografts, which were presented at the 2025 EACTS meeting in Copenhagen, now have been published and are available Open Access here.

20-year data from two European centres for decellularized pulmonary homografts  will be presented at the upcoming annual EACTS meeting in Copenhagen. The abstract will presented within the Ross Session on Thursday 9th of October 2025 at 10.00 am in Auditorium 10.

Ross-Symposium 2025 in Lübeck/Germany - Role of decellularized pulmonary homografts for paediatric Ross patients

The Ross autograft operation for aortic valve replacement requires pulmonary valve replacement. This is usually performed with a homograft. Dr. Sarikouch from Hannover Medical School presented the current evidence for decellularized pulmonary homografts for pulmonary valve replacement in the Ross operation for adults and children.
